About Me

My name is E. J. Guitard, and I reside in the village of Rothesay, New Brunswick, Canada.

I would like to think of wood turning as, pardon the pun, “Turning another corner in my life”. Being captivated by this wonderful art, I spend many long hours in my workshop perfecting my wood turning skills. Wood turning to me is like opening a treasure chest that contains precious jewels. Not wanting to copy someone else's style, I strive to create my own unique trademark - one of a kind, for one of a kind people.

As there is no perfect piece of wood, my preference is to work with wood with imperfections as this gives each piece its own unique character. To enhance the beauty and elegance, each of my pieces are finished with natural non-toxic oils or bees wax. You will find examples of my natural burl wood pieces in my pictures of functional bowls, artistic bowls, hollow forms, natural edge, vases, pet memorial urns & pens.
